The Mind-Blowing Pink Floyd Experience LIVE at bergenPAC!

(Englewood, New Jersey January 20, 2011) – Pink Floyd is rarely discussed without using words like “psychedelic,” “conceptual” and “provocative.” Their shows are described as being theatrical with mind-blowing lights and unsurpassed sound. On top of that, their music cannot be referred to without making mention of their record-breaking status. Without question Pink Floyd remains one of the most influential rock bands of all time. It was no easy feat to bring such a story to the stage…But they’ve done it!

The 1977 concept album ANIMALS was a statement regarding the decline of society of the day. While making the album did set in motion the discord that would eventually destroy the band, the subsequent tour for this release planted the seeds for what would become The Wall.

Now, get ready for THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE as they present Animals live in its entirety! In addition to ANIMALS, all of Pink Floyd’s greatest hits are performed live including such favorites as “Money,” “Have a Cigar,” “Time,” “Comfortably Numb,” “Run Like Hell,” and many rarities not often heard live!

Annerin Productions has endeavored to bring fans the show they never thought they’d see. They searched the continent for committed and talented musicians who could really do it justice -they nailed it. They found the band, the lights and the sound to create THE show for the ultimate Floyd fan, and it’s called…The Pink Floyd Experience:

Tom Quinn: Band leader, lead guitarist and relentless crusader for all things “Pink Floyd.” In 1973, The Dark Side Of The Moon was released. That same year, Quinn bought his first guitar and started his first band. He dates the musical roots of PFX back to 1994, and Pink Floyd’s Division Bell tour stop in San Diego. The band hit the stage in April 1995, and went on to garner many San Diego Music Awards from 1999 to 2003.

Gus Beaudoin was born on May 3, 1952, and started playing bass guitar at age 13. With almost 40 years of musical experience to draw from, Beaudoin is well-respected by his peers for his talent and tenacity. Players such as Tim Bogart, Chris Squire and Stanley Clarke, along with early Motown and the Monkeys, were big influences on Beaudoin’s powerful and rock-solid style. Beaudoin has toured across both the U.S. and Canada playing many styles of music, including rock, country, jazz, disco and classical. He and Tom Quinn joined up in 1997 and started playing Floyd music anywhere someone would let them set up their equipment, out of pure love for the music of Pink Floyd.

Graham Heath, lead vocalist for PFX, grew up in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, England, and has been singing and recording for the last ten years in the U.S. and Europe. Heath has enjoyed working alongside artists such as Waz Not Woz, producer Bruce Forrest and Jack Bruce of Cream, and was invited to record by Bill Wyman in the Rolling Stones mobile studio. Recently, Heath founded and was signed to One/UK/USA Record and Publishing Company. Recognized as a natural live performer, Heath is an inspiration and welcome addition to PFX.

Jesse Molloy, at the age of 24, is already an accomplished saxophone player. A resident of San Diego, Molloy has toured and recorded nationally and internationally with several acts, including the Giant People Ensemble, Elijah, Lennheart and the Jamaican National Orchestra. He has also worked closely with producers such as Glenn McKinney, Carlos Malcom and Dito Godwin. Through these musical journeys, Heath has developed an eclectic and very personal voice on the sax. Inspired by greats such as John Coltrane, Michael Brecker and Kenny Garret, he has studied under the great Hollis Gentry III and Rhett Bender. Molloy is the perfect complement to the PFX sound.

John Cox has is a self-taught keyboardist who began playing at age 9. In addition to his current duties as keyboardist and sound designer for PFX, Cox also plays the keys in the YES tribute band Roundabout and the Jethro Tull tribute Heavy Horses, and has his own CD of electronic and acoustic sound-scapes entitled Airbrush (www.airbrushmusic.com).

Stephen Shannon heard the Beatles and knew he wanted to be a drummer. He got his first drum kit at eleven and was influenced by many styles of music, including, of course, Pink Floyd. Shannon spent many years playing in classic rock, rhythm and blues, and progressive rock bands while he honed his formidable technique.

Where do your musical influences come from?

My musical influences came from the places I lived, so lets start with Kiev, Ukraine; Prague, Czech Republic; Romania, and Durban South Africa. The places I’ve lived. As far as names of artists, BT, my idol. Definately. Then we got Donald Glaude…DJ Dan, Scum Frog, Sander Klienenburg, Deep Dish! Definately, deep dish. Man, who else? There’s so many…ah Members of Mayday. Yeah, Frankfurt Germany people. Memembers of Mayday. They’re great.

What about those artists influenced you?

Well, for example BT, I like him specificaly because he does everything himself, you know. He sings his own vocals, he writes his own songs, he plays his own guitar, piano, and he produces it all. You know, I like that. To me that’s very creative stuff and people who can do that more than just DJing, you know, more than just spinning records,so that definately inspires me.

What style of music do you spin?

All the genres of electronic dance music. I don’t stick to one style. I get bored too easily, so I definately am very versitile.

JOSE 2 HYPE: The DJ extraordinaire, native of Illinois, was influenced during the early half of the 80s, which established his love for music. Upon moving to Guadalajara, Mexico he began his DJ career. Spinning four years at a prominent nightclub, he then relocated to Las Vegas. Jose found himself spinning parties of all kinds. By 1990, he found his opportunity in something he could relate to: The Techno-Rave scene, thus “Jose 2 Hype” was born.
And so it began, he became one of the pioneers to break the Rave culture in the City of Sin, spinning at literally hundreds of events locally and across the country. This knack has led him into the next phase of his career, producing his own music.

DJ Geno Del Boccio: Current resident DJ of Antipasto in Addison, DJ Geno has been mixing for many years. He spins all genres of music from hip-hop to euro to house. His mixes have aired on radio stations throughout the Chicagoland area including WGCI and B96.

Young Live, Dj Mop Top & Inglish

Young Live: Jeremy Davis, better known as Young Live of the Starters DJ’s and Basix has had a vast journey through music. Starting as a producer at the age of 14, by 16 he was having instrumentals placed on Diplomats (Rocafella) Mixtapes (2000-2001). By 2002 he went solo to put out two mixtapes (Real Time, 4.T.5.), one of which had mention at the Justo Mixtape Awards. Enrolling in Columbia College in 2004 he linked up with Don P. to form the group Tha Basix. They have performed with artists such as Rhymefest and have held residencies with venues around Chicago such as Funky Buddha Lounge. Within the next few years, Young Live linked up with Dj Mop Top to form Starters Dj’s. Since then he his outstanding production has made an impact in new wave music that is spanning nationally as well as globally with various singles that have been rated #1′s online and reviewed by the likes of NY Magazine. Helping by linking up with Diplo (Mad Decent) and Adam Tensta (Sweden/Grammi Award) the Starters have put various remixes in circulation. He has helped organize events with many of Chicago’s top local acts (Million $ Mano, Willy Joy (Fly By Night)). Young Live, Starters and Tha Basix have progressed to performing with artists such as Shawty Lo, Diplo , N.A.S.A., DJ Synapse, Designer Drugs, GZA, and Dj Sega.

Dj Mop Top: Richard Furniss, better know as DJ Mop Top, came to Chicago in the fall of 2006 to attend Columbia College’s audio program. Already a noted DJ on the east coast Mop Top was ready to learn from all that Chicago had to offer. After roughly a year of performing solo in Chicago, Mop Top was able to gain residencies at such venues as Funky Buddha Lounge and even had the opportunity to open for Common. Through these endeavors Mop Top was able to draw crowds in excess of 100 people a night! In the fall of 2007 Mop Top and Young Live formed ‘Starters’ in an effort to create a fresh and unique party experience. Since then Mop Top has made his mark on Chicago, helping organize events with such acts as Designer Drugs, DJ Sega, and Frank151.

MMTD TUESDAYS: Over 650,000 Drinks Served & Counting

To socialites in Chicagoland, the Mixmaster Throwdown name is synonymous with Tuesday night-life. For the last 6 years at their former Tuesday night venue, Dakota’s in Schaumburg, a loyal following has collectively consumed an estimated 650,000 of the ever-popular $3 drinks.

Unfortunately, Dakota’s is no longer open for business. However, Mixmaster Throwdown’s quest to be the ONLY nightlife promotions company in history responsible for 1,000,000 drinks served on a TUESDAY night continues at the brand new “Mixmaster Room” located inside of the Hennessy’s Steak & Seafood 18,000sq ft. complex.

The weekly event kicks off on Tuesday March 17th, when MMTD will commemorate St. Patty’s Day with a special performance from the eye-catching, Chicago Shamrox’s Hotrox dance team. Well drinks and bottles of beer will be on sale for only $2, until they close at 3am.

Dan Morrell, also heard weekends on Chicago’s WBBM-FM, will be hosting a weekly live B96 broadcast Tuesdays from 10pm – 2am and a live web cast hosted on www.mixmasterthrowdown.com. Those fortunate enough to attend in person, will be treated to the Mixmaster Throwdown brand of entertainment provided by their DJ team, as well as celebrity guest djs and hosts.

According to Dan Morrell, Mixmaster Throwdown’s owner, “The layout of the Hennessy building allows us to more flexibility for booking talent and entertaining our guests. Expect to see more live performances from bigger named artists in the coming months.”

Located just north of I90 on Randall Road in Elgin, IL., the building is a multi-functional environment and combines large open dining areas with bars and clubs on both floors. Unique to the second floor, is an area with flexible spectator seating, band stage and dance floor. Weather permitting, guests can also enjoy 3 outside patios with a beautiful fountain view. Reserve a four-person or a six-person booth and get the best seat in the house to watch the 2009 NFL Draft with the Bears and your friends!
